This is the first time that I organize a move on my own and so I don't have much experience. I live in a two bedroom aparment and plan to do all the packing by myself. I need to know how long in advance should I start packing? Thanks!

    The sooner the better!
well organized and well planned move is much easier on everyone concerned and packing early is an important part of an efficient moving plan.
By beginning to pack at least 6-8 weeks before the move you allow yourself the luxury of doing manageable amounts of work rather than leaving it all to a last minute marathon. Starting early also gives you the chance to gather appropriate packing materials.
It also gives you the time to sell, give-away and discard things that you don't want to move, which in turn saves you time and money.
Start by packing up things that you won't miss for awhile - the good china, books, out of season clothes, tools, and sports equipment are good items with which to begin.
